Issued to honor Cuban Patriots, this one cent is in honor of Bartolome Maso.
SPECIMEN or MUESTRA, is a stamp or bank note usually with one or two round holes with this legend. The American Bank Note which was the printer of stamps and bank notes for the Cuban Goverment at the time, used to send these SPECIMENS to the Cuban goverment to obtain e final approval before printing the regular issue.
