Issued to honor Cuban Patriots, the two cents stamp in honor of General Maximo Gomez.
SPECIMEN or MUESTRA, is a stamp or bank note usually with one or two round holes with this legend. The American Bank Note which was the printer of stamps and bank notes for the Cuban Goverment at the time, used to send these SPECIMENS to the Cuban goverment to obtain e final approval before printing the regular issue.
