Description
This piece was an ad published in 1900 in a magazine
specialized in affluent investors and travelers.
The Development Company of Cuba was a company organized
by an U.S. Army officer that remained in Cuba after the
war of independence. He and others developed land to
resale to investors, and people that wanted a summer
home in Cuba. A town named Ceballos was formed about
15 Km from Ciego de Avila to service the investors
that had moved in the are. Ceballos was the last name
of one of the Company principal.
The Company built a Hotel in the middle of plantations
that is shown in this piece.
